This course provides comprehensive training for bricklaying apprentices, and covers all practical and theoretical aspects of the trade.
Much of a bricklayer’s work is straightforward, but often requires skill and judgement. You must understand working drawings of buildings and be able to apply basic mathematics. Bricklayers also do more complicated work, such as constructing arches and building fireplaces. These jobs require training, ability and experience.
Studying bricklaying and block laying at Training Tradesmen, you will receive hands on training from industry experienced teachers. You will train in excellent training facilities, and gain practical experience on full scale projects.
Assessments are completed in order to measure your skills and knowledge against the training qualification requirements, as well as the qualification requirements of the industry. The assessment process itself includes written and practical presentations, observations, and classroom participation. The process will require time away from the training rooms completing assignments and self-paced exercises, as well as the development of a workplace portfolio of evidence
Upon successfully completing your training, you will be eligible to receive the nationally endorsed CPC30111 Certificate III in Bricklaying/Block laying.
Students will be expected to be able to construct housing, undertake general bricklaying work and have the capability of starting their own business.
